Scenes from New England

My vacation was wonderful...there's nothing like real friends in life. Truly, it's rare when you can say you've got those unconditional types who are always there for you. I was with just such a friend over the past week, and I loved every minute of it.

Here, some scenes from the visit to New England.

The House of Seven Gables. I am a Hawthorne-o-phile, for sure. It was great to see this house and his birthplace.

The Custom House, which begins The Scarlet Letter, one of my top five novels ever.

The Salem Witch Museum in Salem, Mass. I am obsessed with witches (real or imaginary) and their history, which sadly includes the holocaust of millions in Europe. One day, I'll draft out my feminist diatribe on this topic.

On a cliff walk in Newport, Rhode Island. Awesome stuff!!

Have a great day!

Oh my, the place looks awesome.

One of the places I've yet to visit in the US is New England, which is odd because you'd think a boy from Old England would head there first. The architecture rings so many bells for places here too (particularly the Custom House there, my gawd I have a building virtually identical to this just round the corner from Maybe Towers).

Glad you had an ace trip. And of course it's fantastic to have you back.

Hey Peej!
You'd love New England-it's so directly taken from 'old' England; the influences are everywhere.

It's good to be back. :)
