Omens, What Are They Good For?
Hi All,
That's me and Bean's nephew in costume. (And that's part of my TV behind us, smiles!) God, boys are fun! He's 7, and wanted to watch 'The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror' DVD that I had all night. We put in 'Scream' but his mom didn't really want us to finish it. The rest of the time, he wanted to see 'Spiderman.' Ahh, boys. Superhero fans all the way! We had some good food, but didn't get it together in time to make things that looked Halloween-ish. So no pics of that. But if you're curious about the menu, it was:
meatballs
mini-sandwiches (turkey, ham, roast beef)
mini-hotdogs ('Lil' Smokies')
vegetable platter
macaroni salad
pasta salad
chips and dip
chips and salsa
cupcakes
ice cream
punch (red)
It was a good time. Next Saturday, it'll be my family. My neice and nephew may be coming as well. We'll have to see, as little Sweetness will be only 2 weeks old and they may not travel with him. But it's not soo far, so maybe they will. He does not need a costume; he should just be christened "The Cutest." :) Little Sweet Pea, my neice, is going as a clown. I think I said that before. I'm just so excited to have kids near to celebrate Halloween, I don't know what to do!!
In other news, we watched 'The Omen: 666' last night after they all left. Dear God! F squared! Terrible. Boring. And not scary in the least. Mainly a lot of political (????) stuff, some priests quoting Revelations, and actually very little of Damien, the demon child. That's kind of a lame premise anyway, to me: the demon child. Because children aren't truly capable of pure evil, I don't think. I think that's something adults invented. But anyhow, avoid it, unless you're a die-hard Omen fan, maybe. I never saw the original; not really interested in the premise. I like my villains to be completely wacko and weilding some kind of weapon. ;)
With things a bit slammed at work, since I have to create the template library and get the inbox of new emails down, I might not have time to update this blog as much here for a bit. I'm also in the middle of an ebay-selling project. I'm selling SW stuff for my brother and myself. Basically, we realized we have waaayyy too much stuff, and need to sell off the extra. But not to worry; The Collection will still be huge and thorough. But we both admit to impulsive buys at times. Well? It's a hard thing, to turn down an action figure purchase. :)
Have a great day!

What an excellent photo! I am jealous I was not there; that menu sounds so delish. I cannot wait to see photos of sweet pea as a clown! Will they get a small costume for the new babe? I am excited for Halloween this year. We are all gathering at my sister's that evening for dinner and such. I am going to go get some plastic spiders so I can adorn the food on our dinner plates with them! :) I cant wait to hear more about Halloween goodness (or badness!) on your end!
Thursday!!
I'm not sure what they'll do for little baby Calvin, but get this: I got Bree a rattle that is in the shape of a black cat and says 'Spooky Cat' on it, that Calvin uses now (Bree no longer needs it)! It is toooo cute! I hope they dress him; he would be so sweet and tiny! Sorry; I cannot stop the gushing.
I'll update as much as I can.
:)

Thanks for stopping by!
It's probably because I'm such an overly positive person (or a naive one), but I have a hard time seeing evil in anyone, especially kids. But meanness? I guess it exists. No one was ever cruel to me personally. Probably because I was the Principal's Daughter. :)
