Also known as: The Movie of the Year. Bean and I went to see this today, and it totally lives up to the hype (awards, nominations).
The most rewarding thing about this movie was the writing. Excellent!! Diablo Cody wrote this film; she also writes for EW, among other things. She's great at sarcastic humor, and Ellen Page (Juno) was perfect in the role. Allison Janney and JK Simmons were great (and had great lines) as Juno's father and stepmother, Michael Cera (Superbad) wins us over again as the Sweet Boy who gets Juno pregnant, and Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman were good as the adoptive parents.
In the end...they all just wanted someone to love them unconditionally, and for someone to get them, all of them. I think that's what we all want, isn't it? A soulmate? A kindred spirit?
V-Day looms. Bean asks the question nightly: When will we find that person?? Well, there's always hope. We never know; I guess that's the beauty of it.
If you want to see a truly well-written and well-cast film, check out 'Juno.' I highly recommend it.
Grade? A+ This is one to own.

I really want to see this movie! I thought I would wait until it comes out on DVD - but maybe not. If you thought it was good, then I will make the trip to the theater.
