Hi All,
I'm 'almost' done crying from the season finale of 'Grey's Anatomy' last night. Viewers are threatening to never watch again, and I'm sure ABC is getting so much email, they can't keep up with it. They killed off the guy we've been rooting for all season, ending what was a very emotional love affair between this patient and one of the interns. Granted, said intern went berserk in the last three episodes and in real life would not only have her license revoked, but would be imprisoned for what she did. She basically made her lover's condition worse on purpose so that he would get the heart, which was about to go in another person. So he gets the heart, has a successful surgery...but dies from a stroke after the fact. And poor Izzie (intern) overacts her way into the comedy history books. But even before that heartbreaking scene, we had to watch Meredith and Derek put their dog to sleep. We had to watch this! The animal lover in me started losing it during this scene, and it all went downhill from there. Damned emotional TV shows!
So I'm still considering whether or not I should watch this show come September. The emotional show right before bed is too much to take sometimes. It's hard to wind down your mind after being emotionally drained. But you know I will watch, if for no other reason than to ride the wave that is Meredith's up and down emotional state. The good news was: Meredith and Derek (McDreamy) hooked up on the finale! Nothing like a passionate sex scene thrown into all of that drama to blow the mind.
ABC continued its barrage today with the announcement that 'Invasion' has not been picked up for the fall. This show was a nice update of 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers.' We spent a whole season getting invested in this show, and now they'll leave us with the cliffhanger finale and no resolution! I hate that. Grrr.
I'll have to take up knitting or something soon, once my TV shows are gone. haha
Things I Yelled At the TV Last Night
1) Denny is dead??!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
2) Never mind the presidential address, just let me see my show!
3) McDreamy and Meredith, WOW! To quote Buster Poindexter, "Hot, Hot, Hot!"
4) I'm sure PETA wrote in complaints about the dog being put to sleep. It was harsh, I'm telling you!
5) God Help Us, where's a mindless sitcom when we need it??
haha
Have a great day, All!

Thanks for stopping by the site. Come on back any time.
As for getting invested in shows, I rank way up there. I'm a character-driven person and felt actual 'loss' when BBC's Lovejoy ended, Babylon, and West Wing went their way and at the end of the Justice League. (Okay, sure JL was animated, but you gotta love super heroes and watching it religiously with your 3 yr old boy. LOL!!) Peace!
I get invested in most shows that I watch, dramas or sci-fi. I'm not so invested with sitcoms, maybe...but I'm pretty die-hard on my fandom of just about anything. And yes, you do have to love super heroes!
