Hi All,
Well! Sentences you never thought you'd write: Kellie Pickler did a great version of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' last night. !!! I was pleasantly surprised. Like the rest of the USA, I thought that would be a train wreck. But she pulled it off! I wasn't really overwhelmed with any of the others, though. Taylor was entertaining. And Chris...I have no idea what he sang because I was too busy staring at his beautiful face. Bean and I agreed: We want a guy who looks exactly like him. WOW. The stubble on the face, forming a semi-beard, was the sexiest thing I have seen since I saw Brad with platinum blonde hair. Men with facial hair...Good Lord! Whee!
But anyway...in other news, inspiration hit and I'm back at work on novel #3. Here's a little preview. I love it when a paragraph comes together the way this one did.
"After that she had decided she’d wait for him by his locker. He always came up to get his books anyway. Practice was running a little long that day, she thought. But she didn’t care. She’d rather wait here in these comfortable walls than go home to that empty, repressed house. She was studying a painting that the art class had posted. Their assignment was to create a collage of all of the primary emotions. Their ideas about what visualized an emotion were incredible, Jessica thought. One had painted a red house, with a hole in the wall, punched by a red punching glove. The mailbox in the front yard read ‘Anger.’ Further down, a tree reached its arms to the sun, with a smile on its face. The sun’s rays read: Joy. It’s funny how you can go from one to the other so easily, she thought. Jessica was so entranced in thought that she didn’t see him at first. Her eyes were fixated on the painting before her and her mind was still marveling at the creativity when she caught a glimpse of something out of her peripheral vision. It was only a glimpse, and she wasn’t sure it was anything. But still, she felt a cool breeze."
For more, well, you'd have to wait until I publish it! It's a story within a story. It's fantasy, naturally....with a bit of Desperate Housewives thrown in. haha Not really. But there is drama.
Have a great day!
