We Will Rock You

Hi All,
I just read the song selections for tonight's AI (printed at USA TODAY). I like Queen, but they didn't have that many songs I'd like to hear these kids sing. Kellie is singing 'Bohemian Rhapsody!!' I think whoever is picking these themes is just trying to see the kids fail. I mean, honestly! I love 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' in fact it's my favorite Queen song, but it should only be sung by Freddie Mercury. Chris is singing a song I don't know called 'Innuendo.' We'll see I guess. But I sense another disappointing night for us. Bean says every time here lately, "We look forward to this all week and then get let down!" Okay, maybe that's a slight overstatement. I like AI, but the only show I can't wait to see is 'Lost.' And 'Alias,' which will wrap up here in a few weeks.
In other news, they came by and gave us new computers at work yesterday. These new ones have DVD drives built in. I foresee some matinees on Sundays....haha I'm sure the memo will come out: 'Please refrain from using the DVD player while on the clock.' My co-worker and I already planned out the schedule and who gets to bring popcorn. He said it's a shame we don't have a way to connect all of the computers so that we're all watching the same one, so we can yell at the same times. That might be a distraction if we get calls though. "Can you hold, ma'am? I'm at a good scene."
We're not really such slackers, in truth. But Sundays seem to be days in which no one needs to be in the office. But since we are, shouldn't we make the most of it?
They just came by with a snack cart. I work in a fun place, most of the time. Chocolate, crackers, and blow pops. One of each, please! Did you know: "Chocolate contains substances called Phenylethylamine and Seratonin, both of which (put simply), are mood lifting agents found naturally in the human brain. They are released into the nervous system by the brain when we are happy and when we are experiencing feelings of love, passion or lust. This causes rapid mood change, a rise in blood pressure and increasing heart rate, inducing those feelings of well being, bordering on euphoria usually associated with being in love." (from an article by Janet Vine, from Global Chefs)
Well, that explains why I am in love with Hershey's. haha I never knew it had those chemicals in it before. Hmm. Learn something new every day. And since I just had chocolate, I'm feeling rather euphoric. Yay me!

Love or Insanity?
1) Being 'in love' is also dangerously close to being obsessed, according to what I've read. It's all Dopamine's fault. She's such an attention hog!
2) You know the phrase, "Love is blind?" It is! Do you think that drunk hooker was really someone you loved??
3) Phenylethylamine? Sure! Bring it on! Add a little Mexihapholamine while you're at it. What??
4) Aren't we supposed to Just Say No? Yes? No??
5) Hell, everything in this place is addictive! No wonder my tests came back 'off the charts.'

haha

Have a great day!
