Winter

Snow can wait
I forgot my mittens
Wipe my nose
Get my new boots on
I get a little warm in my heart when I think of winter
Put my hand in my father's glove....

Tori Amos, "Winter"

Stay warm and cold-free, unlike me!!

Brrrrr.
Achoo.

Sniffs.

WONDERFUL pics.

Awww sorry to hear you've got a cold hon, I'd love to nurse you and make you some of Nan's patented cold cure. Whole lemons, chopped, suffused in a mixture of honey, water, brown sugar and a touch of brandy. It might not cure your cold but you'd feel damned fine afterwards :)

Get well soon!

I echo Peej's remedy: I pour a splash of brandy in a mug with a little lemon juice and add boiling water - mmmm, nothing like a hot toddy! Feel better!

It serves me right! I haven't had a cold for like, three years, and damned if I haven't now had TWO this year! And we haven't even HAD a winter here!!

Some of Mom's incredibly strong coffee made me feel A LOT better (coffeeeee-smiles).

I'll have to learn to keep those ingredients in the house! If I don't feel any better by this eve, I'm stopping by the store to purchase those things so that I can make a concoction.

Thanks for the advice!
