V-Day

Rather than wear black and curse Feb 14th, as I have my whole life, I decided to put it all down, the answer to the eternal, "Why are you single?" question. I'm single, because I cannot find these things. In a man. Who likes me back. Grrr. $#$^)*#&$)

21 Things I Want in a Lover

1) Kindness. The type of kindness that extends to animals and every person.

2) Intelligence. Smart is sexy. Totally.

3) Sense of humor. Life is not meant to be serious. Much of the time.

4) Passion. Passion is the key to enjoying everything that life has to offer.

5) Adventuresomeness. Is that a word? (It is now)

6) Spirituality. Not necessarily Christian spirituality, but an understanding of the Higher Power sure helps.

7) Desire to make out in the rain. haha This is Fantasy #1 for me. I'd probably get married in the rain if it was allowed. Rain is life!

8) Loves the dark. I don't mean lights out. I mean the dark in life, like everything Poe wrote. Wicked, scary shit. I love it.

9) Accents help. Accents kill me.

10) The Geek Factor. I love geeks, 100%. People who can quote Star Wars, like to pretend they have The One True Ring, and know who Mulder is.

11) The Nerd Factor. I like nerds, too; those who'd rather spend a Friday evening reading than at a club.

12) But...I love to dance. Must not be ashamed to lumber up to the floor with me. Cause I am a terrible dancer. But I will do it anyway.

13) Must love wine. haha (Just Kidding. I don't drink. Wine? What's that?)

14) Must love to play with little kids' toys. In other words, must refuse wholeheartedly to grow up.

15) But...be grown up enough to care how one looks (ahem...scruffy guys..get it together!), and be able to pay one's bills.

16) Must be willing to travel the world. Cause I want to see it all.

17) Must agree that Tori Amos is God(dess). hahaha JUST KIDDING. Must at least agree that she's 'alright.'

18) Must not poke fun at my love of myth, legend, and metaphor. Cause they rule.

19) Must be able to assist in fixing things around the house. Be a man, for God's sake! I am not fixing the mower! I am not!

20) A nice smooth chest doesn't hurt. Dear God, it's hot as Hades in here.

21) Must love sex, cause you'll get it from me 7 days a week. (haha; I am only half-kidding. A girl has to rest sometime. haha)

I didn't list any physical characteristics (other than the chest; sigh), mainly because these things truly aren't important. I've had crushes on guys with blonde hair, black hair, hazel eyes, blue eyes, short, tall, white, black, Native American, Australian, British, you name it. Bean always considers the 'blonde haired, blue eyed' type to be my type, mainly because I have said thousands of times that Brad Pitt is my perfect man and I love, love, love him with blonde hair. And this is true. But I'm not looking for Brad Pitt.

I'm just letting things happen as they will.


But okay, sure, I'll admit. I'd love to snuggle up by a fire in winter, I'd love to have unplanned, passionate sex, I'd love to slow dance, I'd love to travel around and see new places with someone, I'd love to do lots of things...but we'll see.

ps I can't believe I forgot this: Must wear a uniform at some point, even if it is on loan from a costume shop. Guys in uniform are H-O-T-T. Dear Lord!
