Christmas Meme

Thievery is fun.

:)

Thanks to other bloggers for coming up with this list.
You know who you are.

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? I admit to chocolate addiction, but oddly, I have never cared for hot chocolate. Blasphemy, I know. I like The Nog, though. Jack D. goes well with it!

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Everyone knows the elves wrap presents!

3. Colored lights on tree or white? Our goal (my family) is to put as many lights on the tree as possible-white and colored. So we do lots of both. Bean does white, but we didn't put up a tree this year due to Sgt. Pepper wanting to tear it down. Meanwhile, Leia just stares at us like we're all nuts.

4. Do you hang mistletoe? No; I'm not THAT fond of Bean, and I love the kitties...but...haha

5. When do you put your decorations up? December first; I try.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Fried Oysters!!! And Oyster Stew. This is the only time of year I get these. They rock.

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child: The Christmas play at church. I was in it every year, in various roles. It is not only a favorite holiday memory; it is a favorite LIFE memory.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? When Dad dressed up as Santa and left the suit in the basement after, where I saw it and figured it out.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Never did until Bree and Calvin were born; we now open a few days before with them, and on Christmas me, Mom, Dad, and my other brother leave behind a few to open.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? I think I said about the lights..LOTS..and many, many homemade ornaments from our childhood. This is my parents' tree I speak of. When I've done my own, it's been just colored balls, a few personal ones, and colored lights.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Well; this is a double-edged sword, snow. I love to look at it, and loved to play in it as a child. It reminds me of Hoth (I am a nerd; I know), and it's just so clean and white, and pure. BUT...I always have to trudge out in it to get to work now as an adult, which sometimes scares the BeJesus out of me. I guess ice is more what scares me to drive on. Some near-horrible car moments in the snow. But, God watches out for me. :)

12. Can you ice skate? No; and Bean and I vowed to try in 2007.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Sorry, but I loved Stretch Armstrong the most! He was cool as s***.

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Remembering and thanking God for giving us His son, and seeing the kids enjoy the holiday.

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? I like gingerbread, which I only get this time of year. I like most desserts; the more chocolate, the better.

16. What tops your tree? A star and an angel.

17. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving? Giving, for sure. I don't really care to receive gifts, but appreciate them nonetheless.

18. What is your favorite Christmas Song? 'Silent Night.' Stevie Nicks does an incredible version of this on 'A Very Special Christmas.'

19. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Peppermint, or any mint, is a personal fave, so I like the 'canes. Until they get old and chewy. haha

20. What do you serve for Christmas dinner? I don't serve anything, but Mom serves one hell of a meal. Similar to Thanksgiving, but with Oysters and no stuffing or cranberry sauce. The mouth waters thinking about it.

In other news, Calvin Harrison is 2 months old today!!
YAY!!
Little Sweets is well, per his parents.
Can't wait to see him and his sister. Soon!

Have a great day!
