Lunch at the Bistro

Thanks to Terre and Marilyn, (my FAVORITE little old ladies who wear overpowering perfume, love Meryl Streep, and might belong in a loony bin someday {and Marilyn is a THERAPIST!! Sheesh!}), every now and then, I have these fabulous lunches where we catch up, and they tell me hilarious things from their lives.

We had lunch today, and it was great.

I learned:

1) There are actually people named Citronela. I wanted to know, did she smell like lemons?

2) Even WORSE, there are people named Vagina and Crayola Jones. !!! Dear God. I'm actually speechless.

3) Snippy, uptight b****es should not be allowed to review novels. Or, parts of novels. When such a person reviewed part of Terre's 2nd novel, this person missed the mark. Grrrr!

4) When lighting a campfire, it's not smart to use a whole can of gasoline! Way to go, Jorge. Almost burned down the whole camp!

5) You never know when your house might blow up from gas leaks, so be careful about lighting matches. Poor Terre and Marilyn! Started the new year with a BANG, indeed!

Ah, but we had a great lunch. I hope I have stories that are even remotely as entertaining when I get to be..."of a certain age..."

:)

In other news, I saw the movie "Untraceable," which was very good-very entertaining. A bit like "Saw" (but not nearly as graphic or horrifying) meets "Die Hard 4," with all of the Technology Will Kill Us All commentary.

And Bean and I watched "The Decent" tonight. We finally saw the original ending. This was a good movie. I can see some of the metaphors that IMDB bloggers commented about, watching it for the third time. It's the main character's descent into madness..right. Or, it's just a fun sort of Girls Trapped in a Cave With Monsters story. Either way, we liked it.

Have a Good Night. zzzz
