Will and Grace

"I'm not good or real. I'm evil, and imaginary."
--Karen Walker, 'Will and Grace'

Hi All,
What a sad week this is with all of the goodbyes! 'Invasion' had its season ender last night, which natually left us with a cliffhanger ending. Problem is, ABC is not renewing this show, I think I mentioned before. So we're left to imagine for ourselves how things ended up for these characters we got invested in. I have a pretty good imagination, but still, I'd like to see more of this show. Well, I signed the online petition to save it, so maybe if the CW or Sci-Fi feels like it, one of them will save the show. Otherwise, I guess we should consider that book closed.
Tonight is the series finale of 'Will and Grace,' which had faded in recent years but in its prime was an excellent show. I still laugh myself silly at Karen and Jack, the ultimate gay man and his hag. Karen is the eternal lush, much like Christine Baranski's 'Cybil' character. Jack, well, Jack is the flaming gay man who loves himself more than anything. Truly. Will and Grace are funny too, but they usually have the more serious plotlines. We (Bean and myself) always say that in the end, Will should just realize he's into women after all and end up with Grace. But damn the genes! I guess a gay man can't change who he is. He's just so incredibly good looking, like most gay men, that it's not fair. Attractive men should never be gay! We have a hard enough time finding a guy as it is! haha
So we'll say goodbye to Will and Grace tonight, and then on Monday my long-time fave 'Alias' wraps for good. I'm glad for Jennifer Garner, as it's time for her to move on to film. And she'd better have a major film career. She's mega-talented.
'Alias' was the show that drew me in after 'X Files' went off the air. Now, I have 'Lost.' Thank Goodness for interesting TV, is all I can say.
Looks like it's McPhee and Taylor in the finals of AI. I think McPhee has more talent, vocally, but Taylor has the personality. It should be an interesting showdown.

How To Cope With The End of Your Favorite Shows
1) Make drinks named after the show. Just don't do what I did and put waaaayyy too much vodka in it. Too much vodka = a bad night.
2) Go online and post as much as you can about 'the brilliance that was (insert show here).'
3) Go outside and yell, "What ever will I do NOW???"
4) Hold vigils for "The departed characters"
5) Turn off the TV and hold a moment of silence before you resume channel surfing

Have a great day!
