Mentally Hilarious

Hi All,
I heard a wonderful definition for the term 'insane' the other night on 'Family Guy.' Lois' brother is in an asylum, and someone calls him 'insane.' Peter says, "He's not insane; he's mentally hilarious." I loved that. So the next time someone calls you 'nuts' or 'crazy,' tell them, "I'm mentally hilarious."
Speaking of hilarious, a co-worker came by just now for a chat. He saw the finger painting my neice did for me (which is framed and in my cube) and asked, "Is that from when you were on LSD?" It looks very trippy, as the child is not even three years old yet. It's got a nice blend of red, blue, green, and white. It kind of looks like a rainbow made out of water. So yeah, I can see where he was coming from. I just smiled and told him, "Those days were over long ago!"
Adding to the trippy atmosphere, we all got balloons and tied them to our cubes today, just because. Just for fun. People started drawing faces on them to spiff them up. I drew the only face I am able to draw: the guy with short hair and a smirk on his face. I didn't get the drawing gene, apparently. One girl, obviously in a grey mood, drew a bunch of lines and smoke on hers. Giving balloons personalities: this is what we do here in our spare time.
It's Country Night tonight on AI. Let's hope and pray they pick much better songs. I don't want to hear any ballads, especially not 'How Do I Live?' Modern Country Music is usually upbeat, at least in style. In other words, we want songs we can dance to. Is Country Line Dancing still 'in?' I never was very good at those coordinated dances. I did do The Electric Slide with the other teachers, though, when we all danced at a big pep rally. THAT sure got the students interested.

Dances I Love
1) The Robot. Nothing funnier than a co-worker walking by your cube doing The Robot, complete with measured arm movements.
2) The Shopping Cart. An old classic. I guess? Bean likes to walk around doing this one, which involves two hands in front (as if to push a cart), and some crazy front and side-to-side movement. I think she spilled her groceries.
3) The Vogue. Impossible to do, unless you're a gay African American male. Or Madonna. As many times as we watch the video, we still can't duplicate it. It's fun to watch though.
4) The Electric Slide. Who else loves to sing along, "It's Electric!! Boogie Oogie Oogie!" while it plays, and make up your own steps?
5) The Running Man. Nothing like fake running around a dance floor. It's especially effective if you wear a track suit.

Have a great day!

I also like the alternative term for depression... "clinically fed up"!
