Starry Starry Night

Hi All,
It's never a good idea to sing 'Vincent,' for any reason. haha Kevin sang that last night on 'American Idol.' Poor little guy! He looks about ten. Chris looked great as usual. The guys do entertain us better but still I wasn't blown away with anyone last night. It takes a lot to blow me away I guess. In between AI and 'Invasion,' I watched 'America's Next Top Model.' I know, I know...what the *$&$$%$ was I doing watching that? It was actually Bean who turned to it. I always feel sad for 'models,' because they apparently have no idea what being a real woman is.

**Feminist Rant**
If any of these women cared one iota about 'being someone,' they'd take off all of the makeup, forget about all of the posing, and would actually do something real, like go to Africa and help build shelters for people who don't even have a place to live. Or, for that matter, go to New Orleans, for God's Sake. And contribute. I tire of people thinking that beauty is an outer trait. I realize that the Beauty Industry is a billion dollar thing....but I'd rather look at the most beautiful woman covered in mud than the ugliest woman covered in makeup. And who decides what's beautiful, anyway? Not the people on 'Top Model.' I saw one beautiful girl in the whole bunch. And why? Because she was hoping to raise money for her family back in Africa. I swear, people just don't get it. I'm not saying there aren't physically attractive people in the world. Sure there are. But the most attractive to me are the ones with a heart. I just think selling the idea of beauty is fundamentally wrong. Backward.

**End of Feminist Rant**

So, the wannabe models all live in a mansion while they compete.

Things I'd do in the 'Top Model' house
1) Put up fun mirrors everywhere
2) Set fire to the makeup and watch them all panic
3) Outlaw short skirts and slutty clothes
4) Switch the water with vodka
5) Bring plenty of books, 'cause I sure won't have stimulating conversation with them!

'But, they're real people too!'
Yeah...I guess they are. Just competitive and shallow.
In other words, perfect for reality TV!
Well done, UPN. Well done.

Have a good day.
