Revenge of the Nerds

Hi All,
I think Kevin is a goner. That would be my guess, anyway. He's the Weakest Link; Goodbye!
After AI we watched 'Nashville Star.' Granted, I don't know a lot of country songs anymore, but I know enough to watch and enjoy. The people from 'Nashville Star' always seem so much more into it, so much more natural, and seem to have more life than the AI contestants. I think AI makes people overly nervous. Except for the ones who've been on stage before, like Chris and Paris. I was so glad Chris did 'Higher Ground.' I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers' version of that song, and really it was perfect for Chris to do. I think that guy is gonna go far in life. I hope so. Bean was telling me that he was from Louisa, Virginia originally. One of her co-workers went to school with him. !!!!!! So I said, "You mean we could have been dating a gorgeous thing like THAT???" Louisa's in our backyard, so to speak.

In other news, I started reading my favorite book of all time again, Jane Eyre. I decided, it's been too long since I read it. I still wish we'd get a really good movie version of that book. I guess the TV version with Timothy Dalton is the best so far. But anyway, I think the character of Jane Eyre is quite possibly my absolute favorite. Hard to say, though, since I get attached to characters. Ripley (Sigourney Weaver, brilliant in 'Aliens') is a very close second, if not tied. There are a lot of great characters, come to think of it. I was quite the AUL fan because of Mac. Well, who didn't love Mac??

I'm forever sad that the writers on 'Alias' took the great Sydney Bristow and let that character fade into oblivion. And I miss Dana Scully. Heck, I miss Gillian Anderson, who played Scully.
Heck, I miss good writing period. I just don't know what people in TV land are doing these days! I guess this is why we turn to the reality shows...

Which brings me back to Kevin on AI.
For those who don't watch, he's this little nerdy guy who has a 'decent' voice.
They're trying to make him into a cute sex symbol.
Which is just....Wrong.

The Advantages of Being a Little Nerdy Guy
1) People go, 'Awwww' and smile at you a lot.
2) Little nerdy girls think you're the hottest thing around
3) You get by just on 'cuteness' alone
4) You can make snappy comments to Simon Cowell and not get punched
5) Everyone wants you to succeed, just because, "He's so likable."

:)

Have a good day!
