The Oscars

Hi All,
So we watched the Oscars last night, even after vowing not to. We used to be the types that went to the movies at least once a week, but since Mr. HA came into my life, I prefer him to the theaters. So we haven't seen 'Brokeback Mountain' or some of the other contenders. I did see 'Crash,' though, which was good, but was very intense. 'Walk the Line' was excellent! Not sure about any of the others. We've been Reese Witherspoon fans for ten years, ever since she cracked us up in 'Freeway.' Bean and I always say that 'Freeway' is the funniest movie we ever saw, mainly for her performance. So blunt, so white-trash, so Southern...so...FUNNY. I don't think any of you would like it though as it's clearly a B-movie and the plot is actually disturbing if you think about it. But then, I like disturbing.
We always say our favorites never get the award they deserved, but usually get one later for other good works. Reese deserved it for 'Freeway,' Gwyneth deserved it for 'Flesh and Bone,' and Nicole Kidman deserved it for 'Moulin Rouge.' I guess as long as they get some kind of recognition, that's a good thing. It's always nice to see talented people recognized.
But really aren't the Oscars (and all awards shows) just an example of Entertainers congratulating themselves and blowing a lot of money? If they 'really' want to help others, give up the $20,000 gift bag.
Bean and I won't accept such a ridiculous thing when WE make it to the Oscars. haha
We have it all planned....

Things Bean and I will do at the Oscars:
1) Laugh like hyenas at whoever the host is
2) Scream bloody murder if we don't win for our 'brilliant' screenplay
3) Boo any singer unless it's Tori or Madonna
4) Get tanked out of our heads
5) Tell Joan and Melissa, 'We love you. And we know we look like crap.'
