Sex and The City

Carrie!!! How we missed ye. I'm so glad this film came about, finally. The series, 'Sex and the City,' was a landmark show for women, for the art of dating, and for relationships. Not to mention, the fashion, the 5th character, New York City, and of course, Cosmos.

It's rare that Bean comes out of a theater calling a film "perfect." But with this one, she had to. And I agree, 100%. It was so much fun, seeing everyone dressed to the nines and cheering at the right times, laughing at the right times, and crying at the right times. I loved the sadness and the reality that this film offered; relationships, no matter what type, are filled with the light and the dark, and we have to learn to deal with both.

I still believe in soulmates, even though I fear I will never find mine (in male form, at least). I'm so very lucky to say, I have at least four female soulmates, sisters, and lifelong BFFs. It makes being alone much less lonely. I was one that never felt I needed a man to complete me; but dates are nice. They all look at me as "one of the guys," because I care more about light sabers than Minolos (sorry, Carrie). But I believe there's a soulmate for all of us, regardless of our type; some of us blur the line as to what is "feminine" and what is "masculine," and I say, good for us! There was a great line (among so many) in the film about labels, and how inaccurate they are. So true....

What to say about our girls?
Miranda and Steve reminded me of a personal situation that has broken my heart for a year now; I cried when they saw each other on the bridge, and they just knew.

Charlotte is more like me than any of the girls; and good for her that she got everything she deserved.

Samantha...tsk, tsk.....Girl, I looooove Smith, but who blames you??? Stay single and love it! And go for that neighbor!!! DEAR GOD what a hottie!!

Carrie...and Big. "Just us" was what he wanted.....and what he got. Happy endings are still my favorites, because somewhere in me, like in most girls, I suspect, we all want the fairytale.

Get those shoes on, Cinderella.....

(Go see this movie!!! 10++++++, A+++++ PERFECTO.)
