:)
Bean and I say this at times, because a guy went on Oprah once and that's what he told her. Not sure what the show was about-sleep disorders, possibly. But when we get tired, we like to quote that guy. I am tired today as I have started training for a new role at my job.
I have not had time to comment, but miraculous and wonderful things are happening at my job; I may soon get that promotion I have worked for for years. An official 'E Mail Team' was announced, for which I will most likely be one of the Lead reps. I personally KNOW the manager, and that is the only way you get ahead in the business world: You must know someone. So if you write in (email) circuitcity.com, chances are, I'll have a hand somewhere on the reply. If you email firedog.com, every reply will come from me, as I am the only one that handles those. So, if you email us, be nice. ;)
I love this news because emails/written correspondence is something I was born to do. I create and develop templates, develop business replies, and research responses. It's a lot of fun!! Only hard part: it makes the eyes tired. And it takes away from blogging and creative writing time. But, I shall find ways to fit those in. :)
So in the meantime, I am missing other blogs as I don't have a lot of reading time, either, unless it's reading emails. Right now, in training, I am mainly getting a lot of review. I've been here in this dept for 6, going on 7, years, and have literally worked in every role except supervisor. I don't want the sup role, because of the stress. I cannot deal with stress. So I avoid it.
But I will say, I plan on writing a nice diatribe about my OTHER favorite place in the world (other than NYC), England. Of course, I have not been to England, but a girl can dream. Have to make it to Will's grave to pay respects!
Thoughts in Training Class
1) Why, God, WHY???
2) My eyes! They ache!
3) I think I need about 12 coffees.
4) Why is it that I know more than the trainer?
5) I wish I were blogging right now.....
:)
Have a great day!

Marty - you ever make it this side of the pond and don't say Hi, I'm going to be mucho offended :)
Seriously though, if you need someone to knock your socks off with a tour of Shakespeare country I'm about 1/2 an hour away from there, and know Stratford pretty well.
On your job promotion - WELL DONE YOU! You rock! But oh, training - I sympathise. Any tips you can pass on about how I'm going to get through a week of Active Directory training without wanting to dash both my eyes out with sharpened pencils...?

PJ:
Well, of course I'll say hi! In fact, I'll demand a proper tour. ;)
"Dash your eyes out with broken pencils." haha
Thanks; you make my day with your sense of humor. :)
If I think of tips, I will share. ;)
Good Job! I will keep my fingers crossed for you - I know that you certainly deserve a promotion! And this old "it's all about who you know" seems to be true of just about anything! (said with a big grin from one writer to another!)
Take Care!

Hey Terre!
Thanks for stopping by. Looks like I will be in a role which will lead to a promotion in the near future. Things are so up in the air in this dept. at the moment. But it all looks good!
:)
"Why is it that I know more than the trainer?"
LOL
I do hope this promotion comes - you so deserve it, my dear! xoxoxoxo
Thursday!
Thank you, Sweetness.
I think 2007 will be a very good year, for lots of reasons...
:)
Oooh one more thing I meant to add - I can't hear the word "Oprah" without hearing it in Austin Power's accent - as in "My name is...er...Richie Cunningham, and this is my wife...er...Oh-praaah"
Hehe well it was funny in my head anyway.
