Sooner or later, we all get invaded

Hi All,
Well, I was wrong. It was the first time that's ever happened. haha
I should have known! Little Nerdy Girls and their phones!! So Kev is still around on AI.
But only for so long....

In other TV news, 'Invasion' was good last night. I always think about Stephen King because he endorsed this show as the best and scariest on TV right now. It does have a good feel to it-kind of a 50's horror movie feel. Like, things are happening, but they are happening v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y. By the end of the season, we 'might' see an alien. Might. Basically, the plot is, for those who have not seen: There was a hurricane, after which a lot of townspeople found themselves naked and in the water (this takes place in the Everglades in Florida), unaware of anything that happened to them. And there are lights in the water. And these 'survivors' are learning that they have strange beings growing inside of them (the women) and they have power to heal wounds most would die from (the men). And a rather nasty sheriff seems to be leading the whole bunch. And there's a gorgeous guy on there (Eddie Cibrian) who is just trying to protect his family, who isn't 'infected.' But there looks to be an Invasion, hence the show's title.

The part that interests me most is the Barbie-esque character of Mariel, the central character and mother of Russell's (Cibrian) kids. I compare her to Barbie in looks alone; she's a smart cookie, but looks plastic and blonde. There's a family dynamic there, as Mariel and Russell are divorced, have their own spouses, but are still civil to each other, and both are always looking out for those kids. Mariel was infected and changed, but she's fighting it. It seems these new beings kill their young or lose interest in them. But not Mariel, at least not yet. She might be an alien, but damn it, she loves her kids.

Of course they left us with a cliffhanger last night and won't be back till April. !!!

I don't think I've mentioned here yet but I've become a huge fan of 'Family Guy.' It's what 'The Simpsons' started out as-very funny satire, of everything from the 80's to the current day. If you want a guaranteed laugh, tune in. Some of the humor is crude at times (boys will be boys)...but mostly it's just great fun.

It's St. Patrick's Day tomorrow! Bean's favorite holiday. I know Red will drink enough green beers for us all....and for myself I will be sure to look for luck wherever I can find it.

Things I'll do for St. Patrick's Day
1) Wear green on every place except my a**, hoping for a pinch
2) Spend hours combing fields for a four leaf clover
3) Speak in an Irish accent all day, confusing and amusing co-workers
4) Keep yelling about The Blarney Stone until I am gagged
5) Call every guy I see 'Patrick'

:)

Have a great day, folks!
