Wild West and Jesse James enthusiasts would probably like this movie. We rented it for Brad (naturally; I'll watch him in anything), and the story was interesting, but the pacing on this movie was dreadfully slow. I think the director was going for an artsy, epic-feel, but this just seemed drawn out.
Casey Affleck was great as Robert Ford, the man who betrays Jesse James and shoots him in the back of the head while he is unarmed. James ended up a hero of the West; Ford? I hadn't heard of him; had you?
In other news, another historical shootout of sorts is happening today. Texas, Ohio! Come on, folks! We want a woman in the White House!! Well, whatever the outcome, we want change, that's for sure.
Speaking of change: We're hanging in there at CC, but the future looks hazy. I'm trying to get my finances in line, just in case.
Hang in there, folks. The economy looks grim, the war saddens us all, and we've got concerns from our homes to our ability to travel, to our ability to buy ever-costlier foods. But at least we didn't get shot in the back!
