UVA Football

Well, it's that time again: Football Season! I took last year off, but for the last 10 years or so, my brothers and I have gotten season tickets to all UVA home games. I've been a UVA fan since I was a child; Dad got his Masters there, Charlottesville (home of UVA) has always been like a second home to us (we lived about 30 mins away), and I went to UVA's sister school (Mary Washington, which used to be a part of UVA, even though it's in another city). Plus, for me personally, I have very fond feelings toward the UVA hospital, which is the best in the nation, and whose brilliant nurses and doctors saved my life (literally).

So, we've all been Wahoo fans forever. Even when they lose heartbreakers, and they generally don't look good, we still root hard for them. Our first game is this Saturday, vs. Duke. Here's hoping for a good game.

I used to be a Redskins fan, as far as the pros go. But, they haven't had much since the early 90's. And, I'm much more excited about college football; it's just more fun to watch.
