Well, somewhere, Thursday Next is smiling.
I had this dilemma, see. Due to years of pain and acid and general digestive ailments, I had my gall bladder removed, about three years ago now. Most people recover from that surgery just fine, can eat whatever they want, and hooray, can enjoy food again. I, of course, am not most people. I lost 30 lbs, and gained an unfortunate side-effect to lots of foods I used to like (coffee, spicy stuff, anything with grease involved).
So I gave up coffee, for a year. I used to drink a cup every morning at work. This was cheap, cheap coffee. But I liked it at the time. After so much ill effects, though, I gave it up. Went a whole year and wouldn't have any, not even my beloved coffee ice cream with Heath (Thank You, Ben and Jerry).
But then we moved to this building, and Hooray, they gave us Maxwell House instead of Cheap Crap. And I am having those bouts of fatigue again. The ones with no explanation. Had my blood tested, twice now, for Anemia; nope, not Anemic. No Diabetes, no low thyroid, all seems ok. But still, I can sleep 12-13 hours and still wake up tired. Sheeeesh!
So I gave in one day, and had some coffee. YUM! How I missed it! Now I've been having a cup every day. Especially since Prevention magazine said that a cup a day was actually good for you, because of the caffeine (jump-starts the brain) and the antioxidants.
So I am back to my old friend, and Thank Goodness. I am trying to limit the sugar and creamer I put in, cause you know I love it sweet.
Here's hoping you have a good, hot cup today!
Have a great day, All.

THANK GOODNESS YOU HAVE COME TO YOUR SENSES! LIFE WITHOUT COFFEE IS SIMPLY UNNATURAL! Have a great day - are you going home this weekend for the holiday or do you have to work?
Terre
haha Hey Terre!
Well, it wasn't a choice I enjoyed, giving up coffee! I guess my stomach has decided to tolerate it again. Hooray!
I work Sat-Sun, but will be home Mon-Tues. Should be fun! Hope you have a great weekend yourself!
