So, I can try new things, see? I'm a pretty boring eater- I like my chicken, seafood, veggies, and fruits, and that's about it. Well, I like anything with sugar, too much, as my ass attests. haha But any food not 100% American, well, forget it. No offence, foreign peoples; I'm sure your food is delish in some country. But I'll forego it. Generally.
I can eat Chinese, but always get chicken and broccoli, every time, and that's it.
I used to love Italian, but pasta and tomato sauce bothers my stomach anymore, so I have to lay off that (frowns).
I tried Ethiopian in Atlanta with a group, and we all agreed it was tremendously terrible.
I suppose I like certain English things like hot tea, but I've never had the food.
Well, today, a co-worker said I must try Jamaica House. So I got Island Fried Chicken. It came with rice, beans, and cabbage. It's run by real Jamaicans, not an imitation. It was very good! It had a sweet sauce on the chicken, and each bite melted in your mouth, literally, as the chicken was the most tender I think I have ever had.
So, if that's Jamaican, I'll agree it's good.
In general I prefer that things always be the same. I'm very much like a cat. haha
Speaking of which, Part One of my day was a painful one as I had to take Leia to get her shots. She growled the whole time, poor baby!
I hate to see her upset like that. But, it must be done.
While there, a woman with a little 2 month old puppy came in, and said puppy curled up right next to me. He was sooooo cute! Puppies I can handle. They don't scare me. But the big boys, Yikes.
Tomorrow is "Wear your VA Tech Gear" to work day, in tribute. I don't have any VA Tech gear, since they are rivals to UVA (my team) and we generally hold a friendly dislike for Tech (and they don't like UVA fans, either; you know, sports rivalries). I have a burgundy sweatshirt I can wear, that I hope will suffice.
I think the media were wrong to post the killer's letters and videos. That's what he wanted; that's why I wouldn't have done it. And I'm sure all Tech students don't need the constant reminders on the news. None of us does, really. If they want to focus, focus on the lost. Don't focus on a little weak, sad kid. The U.S. really does give killers too much celebrity. It makes no sense to me. In a dark dungeon; that's where they belong. Not on my morning paper.
Good Day, then...
